Amy Cotler (Hazeri) worked as a chef, cookery teacher, food writer and advocate in New York and New England, where she was the founding director of Berkshire Grown, an early farm-to-table initiative that received national recognition. She has authored five culinary books and hosted a web column for The New York Times. Forthcoming is a novel-length memoir, Unexpected Pleasures, Tales from a Culinary Alchemist.
