Maya Osman-Krinsky (Pork Belly Prayer; they/them) is a native New Yorker who writes about the relationships between language, food, and violence. Maya graduated with a BA in Linguistics from the University of Chicago in 2021 and is now pursuing a Masters in Public Health at Columbia University. Maya is a Pushcart nominee, was named runner-up in the 2020 Kurt Brown Prize for Creative Nonfiction, and participated in the 2021 Tin House Summer Workshop.
